William Noland was born about 1744 in Maryland, the son of William Noland and Joanna.[1] He is named as a son in his father's 1804 Berkeley County, Virginia (later part of West Virginia) will.[2]
According to Find a Grave, William Noland IV died about 1794 in Madison, Kentucky.[1] However, he is listed in the 1800 census along with some of his siblings including: Henry, Thomas, Sarah (widow of Joshua) NOLAND and Aquilla (Susanna) WHITE.[3]
After his death, his widow, Phebe Noland, is listed in the 1810 Madison census with the following enumeration:
