Fred Coffey's post about wife Elizabeth (maybe not Gore).
To help with matching/merging, I added the GUESS of 1761 as a birth year (based on his wife Elizabeth's 1761 birth). Following is from Fred Coffey's site:
In the minutes of the county court of Chester Co, SC, January 1794 (we find that) Elizabeth Noland late widow of Salathiel Coffee and [wife of] Pearce Noland is a plaintiff in a case against James Mannion Gore, defendant. The reading of this record would only indicate that Elizabeth was married to Salathiel Coffee and is now probably the wife of Pearce Noland.
The following links from a search of Genealogy Gophers may be worth exploring:
1794 reference to Sampson Noland and Nathan Coffee
Pearce Noland references in relation to Elizabeth - citing the same January 1794 suit mentioned above, noting that Elizabeth and Pearce Noland were plaintiffs.
Is Pearce your ancestor? Please don't go away! Login to collaborate or comment, or ask our community of genealogists a question.
