Obituary
Gerald Warren Noon, 85, of Blackduck, MN died on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Neilson Place in Bemidji, MN.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church in Blackduck with Pastor John Yingling officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the First Presbyterian Church of Blackduck. Burial will be held at a later date.
Gerald was born June 5, 1936 in Anoka, MN to LaVerne and Evelyn Noon. He grew up there and then joined the US Navy Reserves in 1954. He would go on to serve in several branches of the military until he was honorably discharged in October 1988. He lived in Georgia while serving in the military. He married Lucy Meinert on September 7, 1957. She passed away in 2006 and he moved back to Minnesota, settling in Blackduck. He met Mary Parker at the Blackduck American Legion Club in March of 2009 and they were married August 29 of the same year. They had almost 12 year of laughter and love, traveling, fishing, and enjoying life. As he requested, his body was donated to the University of Minnesota Medical School.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, David; a daughter, Judy; 8 stepchildren, Linda, JoLayne, Cindy, Debra, Kathy, David, Karin and Beth; as well as nieces, nephews, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucy; his parents; a stepson, Michael; and a step-great-grandson, Tucker.
