Biography

Esther Annie Norman was born in Cheltenham on 5 November 1887. ^[1]

She was known to her family members as 'Aunt Hettie'.

She married Ernest Sayers, a widower, on 5 August 1918 in Tufnell Park, Islington. Ernest was shown as a widower, the son of Benjamin Sayers, and was working as a postman. Esther was the daughter of John Norman, a coachman. ^{[2] [3]}

Hettie died at The Retreat, Great Burstead, Billericay on 23 August 1950, aged 62 ^[4]. Probate was granted to Albert Ernest Sayers, draughtsman, and Dorothy Esther Appleton (the wife of Reginald John Appleton), who was her niece ^[5]
