Biography

THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, January 12, 1945

Mrs. J. E. Warren, 361-4th SW, died in her sleep at home early Friday morning. She had been in ill health several years, but death came unexpectedly.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn E. Williams; two granddaughters, Mrs. B. J. Mayer of Washington, D. C., and Miss Bernice Williams, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Manton-Fry Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Lawrence Malloy, and burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery.

THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, January 14, 1945

Pallbearers will be Joe King, D. B. Alexander, Walton B. Marshall, R. K. Record, R. O. Murphy and Joe Gillespie.

Mrs. Warren leaves her husband, J. E. Warren of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn W. Williams here; two granddaughters, one great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Mick Stich, Fairbanks, Alaska, and a brother, W. W. Norman of Asher, Okla.

Mrs. Warren, the former Miss Bonnie O. Norman, was born in McAlester, Okla., daughter of Henry and Alice Norman, and had lived in Oklahoma points and Paris.

During her residence here, she was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, being a former chairman of Circle 2, Woman's Auxiliary, and at the time of her death, was corresponding secretary of the auxiliary.

When Bernice was 27 she married Edgar Warren on about 27 April 1907. The couple had 3 children: Henritta Warren, Alma Evelyn Warren and Harold Edgar Warren.
