DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
Norman-2865 and Norman-62 appear to represent the same person because: The parents names are the same. I think the birth location as Connecticut is an error based on the birth of a different John Norman. see comment section. Other than the possibly erroneous birth location, the profiles appear to be the same person. I have not been able to locate a source for his death.
That John Norman born 1794 is the son of a JOHN Norman and wife Mary. So not the same John Norman who was son of JAMES Norman and Mary Nedley. So it is a possibility but raises a question that needs further research.
