Vicki Norman was a wonderful member of our WikiTree community who has passed away. Vicki Norman made many contributions and will be missed.
I want to thank all the wonderful people I have met on WikiTree. There are many new cousins who I never new I had. Now we are in regular contact.
Working on the US Presidents, Vice Presidents, US Civil War, and Founding Fathers Projects. There are so many interesting characters in our country's history. Good chance to learn more about our history.
Family Mysteries
As for my direct family line: trying to find more info on my Great Grandfather Thomas Franklin Norman and my maternal Great Grandmother Minniehaha Martin Haggan. She is quite a mystery because her name sounds Native American/Canadian Indian and my grandmother has "Is an Indian" written across her birth certificate. However, my grandmother had no Indian features. Wonder if Minnie was captured by Indians and then given an Indian name. I believe she was later adopted by the Martins (when they were in their 60's).
Anybody have ideas on how to find out more about her?

Hi Vicky. Please add me to the Whitehurst project. I'm relatively certain that I am a descendant of William Richard Whitehurst who came to the Virginia colony about 1635.
Hi Vicky please add me to the Dabney project I descend from Mary Dabney Carr born D’Aubigny/ Dabney to Cornelius D’Aubigny (anglicized to Dabney, well known and well documented family ) colonial VA thank you
I saw your comment on Thomas Meaghers page that he was a US Officer. Thought I would add that Australia's Thomas Keneally wrote a book about the Irish Fenians and Thomas Meagher's history both in Australia and the US was extensively covered. The book is called The Great Shame.
I believe the Kennedy brothers were also known to have quoted from Thomas Meagher's history.
Cheers
Roz
I contacted Vicki six years ago and then broke my ankle and my roof leaked on my computer in my apartment with stairs and mattress. I had to stay elsewhere and never got back to her after her response. We are cousins because she comes from Craig Haggan and his brother Leland Claud Haggan is my great grandpa (married Lulu Hovey) to my cousins, siblings, and myself. I would love to have access to seeing the family tree again. My name is Laura Anne Masiello, in San Diego. I am sad to learn of her passing and often used her page as reference. Thank you!
So how can I see Vicki Norman’s page if it was closed? My name is Laura Masiello and I used it as a reference. Our great-grandpas, Craig and Leland Claud Haggan, were brothers. The photos and information were invaluable to my cousins and siblings. My brother John looks identical to Leland and is the first male born since him. We three siblings are from Leland and Lulu Hovey’s daughter Margaret Eldora Haggan ( later Stanco) and our mom is Susan Louise Stanco. Our two female first cousins are from Margaret’s other daughter, Kathy. If anyone can help me with seeing all the work Vicki Did again please let me know!
