Biography

Marie Charlotte Normand was born 29 Aug 1733 and baptized the following day in the parish of Notre-Dame-de-Québec, Québec, Canada, Nouvelle-France. She was the daughter of Jacques Normand and Marguerite Collette and her godparents were Charle Levreau and Marie Marguerite Normand. [1]

François René Fortin, son of François Fortin and Marie Marguerite Richard, and Charlotte Normand, daughter of Jacques Normand and the late Marguerite Colette, were married 6 Nov 1752 in the parish of Notre-Dame-de-Québec, Québec, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Present at the marriage were François Fortin father of the groom, Louis Lemieux cousin of the groom, Antoine Masse uncle, Jacques Normand brother of the bride and many others. [2]

Marie Charlotte Normand, wife of François René Fortin and of the age of about seventy-three years, died 4 jun1805 and was buried 6 Jun 1805 in the cemetery of Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola, Cap-St-Ignace, Québec, Bas-Canada. Present at the burial were Noel Prejean and Abraham Coulet. [3]
