Euphemia Ann Norris was born at Jerrara, NSW, in 1876. She was the daughter of John Norris and Ann Sproule.[1]
She married Thomas James Harris at West Maitland in 1895.[2] They lived at Scott's Flat, NSW, and had a family of at least 11 children together. She was widowed in 1920 when Thomas died from an infection following appendicitis.
She passed away at the Dangar Cottage Hospital in 1952.[3]

A very old identity of the Singleton district Mrs. Euphemia Ann Harris, passed away at the Danger Cottage Hospital on Monday evening. She was 76 years of age. The late Mrs. Harris was the relict of the late Thomas James Harris who predeceased her on October 14, 1920. They were married when Mrs. Harris was 18 years of age. She was a lady who was widely known and highly respected throughout the district. At the time of her marriage they lived on the Jamberoo Mountain and were compelled to cart their milk and cream down the mountain side by pack horse. Later they moved to Marshall Mount where they continued dairying until 1908. In that year they went to Scott's Flat where they were share dairying for the late Mr. Percy Stacy for seven years. They then bought a property from Neotsfield Estate where they ran a dairy up until the death of Mr. Harris in 1920. The late Mrs. Harris carried on the property until her death. Mrs. Harris led a very active life and was a life member of the Dangar Cottage Hospital.
She is survived by a brother and two step brothers, and one sister, five daughters and six sons 52 grand-children and 20 great grandchildren. Her brothers are Mr. James Norris, of Merewether, Mr. John Bonner of Branxton ; and Mr. Frank Bonner, of Dora Creek. The sister is Mrs. Jane Neville, of Cessnock. Her children are Pearl (Mrs. Robert Heuston, Scott's Flat), Marjorie (Mrs. H. K. Bates, Whittingham) Vera May (Mrs. W. E. Hedges, Gouldsville), Myra Thelma (Mrs. W. H. Caslick. Long Point) Beryl Euphemia Ann (Mrs. A. J. West. Mayfield), Sergeant (2nd Class) Claude Harris (Maitland). Vivian (View Street, Singleton), Eric (George Street, Singleton) Samuel (Scott's Plat), Hedley (Rothbury) Athol (Albert Street. Singleton).
The funeral left the deceased's home at 5 Albert Street at 11 a.m. this morning to a service at the Methodist Church and then to the Sedgefield Cemetery. The funeral arrangements were in the hands of Partridge Bros.
