Biography

David was born in 1829. He was the son of Thomas Norris and Elizabeth Cannon. He passed away in 1907. ^[1]

Dave Norris was the son of Thomas Warren Norris, b. 1803, NC d. 6-1-1888, Kingston, Ark. and Elizabeth Betsey Little , 1795-1869.

He was married first to Malinda Margaret Miller,on 9-9-1856. Malinda was b. 1830 d. 1871

and after Malinda died he married Malindas sister, Rhoda Miller on 2-11-1872. Rhoda was b. 10-1842 and d. aft. 6-10-1900

Malinda and Rhoda were the daughters of Richard Miller, b. 3-26-1803/1804 and d. 10-10-1868 and Letty Caroline Guthrey, b. 4-30-1805, elbert city, d. 1871. Richard married Letty on 12-9-1824. David was possibly buried in Airline Baptist Cemetery.

On November 8, 1880,Airline Baptist opened the door at the church and received brother Dave Norris by letter and his wife Rhoda Norris by experience. On July 1, 1883 , David Norris was elected for ordination of deacons. On August 3 , 1883 Airline church the Presbytery met and after selecting Elder J.L. Phillips as moderator called for the candidates to wit Brethern David Norris and Arnold Bennett which the church presented and after examination was set apart to the office of deacons in the church. signed by: JRH Luck and ?
