George was christened on July 6, 1828 in Stoke-Mandeville, Buckingham, England. He was born to Joseph North and Elizabeth (Unknown) North.[1]

Census

1841 Census. Joseph was living at home in Stoke Mandeville, Buckinghamshire, England with his spouse, Elizabeth and nine children. They were all born in Buckinghamshire. Joseph was 45-49 and Elizabeth was 45-49. The children were listed as follows: 1) William age 22-26; 2) Caroline age 17-21; 3) James age 16-20 ; 4) Susan, b. 1827; 5) George b. 1829; 6) Amelia b. 1832; 7) Thomas b. 1835;8) John b. 1837; and 9) Isabella b. 1840.[2]
