Thought by some to have been a daughter of Dudley North and his wife, Anne Montague, Jane is not listed among the 14 known children given as Charles, Francis, John, Dudley, Montagu, Roger, Edward, Mary, Elizabeth, Anne, Christian, Frances, Catherine and Dorothy. Also note that to have two given names was very rare in England at the time. She has been detached from the parents pending further research. Dudley North was a Baron, not an Earl.
