John Northcote (died 1587) of Crediton and father of John Northcote (1570–1632) of Uton and Hayne, Newton St Cyres, near Crediton, lord of the manor of Newton St Cyres, whose splendid life-size standing effigy and monument survives in Newton St Cyres Church.
