Biography

Willis Northcutt was born in Ohio about 6 Dec 1807, the son of Shadrack Northcutt and Ruth Runyon) Northcutt.^[1] On 24 Jan 1828, in Clark County, Ohio, he married Sarah Turman. Together, they had seven children.

Apparently, Willis and Sarah divorced about 1846 and in 1847 Sarah married the widow Samuel Smith. Also in 1847, in Sagamon County, Illinois, a Willis Northcutt married an Emily Green. A Willis Northcutt is also found in Oregon in 1860 and 1870, though it is not confirmed that these are the same person.
