Philip Northcutt Sierra Gold Hemp
CEO / FOUNDER Philip is a former United States Marine, a cannabis consultant, and the founder and CEO of Sierra Gold Hemp. A Northern California native, raised in Long Beach, Phil entered Cannabis in the late ’80s starting out in sales and distribution before transitioning to commercial cultivation. He pioneered real estate and distribution Cannabusinesses in California. In 2017, Phil exited the marijuana industry entirely to enter the hemp industry. He founded Sierra Gold Hemp with two Nevada-based CBD extraction labs and is a member of the University of Nevada Reno, Hemp Advisory Board.
SPEAKER He has produced cannabis education events and tours the country speaking publicly about cannabis, extraction, CBD education, farming, and veterans issues. He is an instructor at the CBD Academy where he teaches the business of extraction. Phil is an advocate for hemp as a model of sustainability and organic wellness, and its ability to stimulate rural economies while saving American farms and families.
VETERAN A combat-injured Marine Corps veteran, Sergeant Northcutt is well known for his cannabis-related legal battles. After returning from Iraq, he ran a cooperative in Long Beach, CA, that was raided by authorities. It was the largest marijuana bust in the city’s history. He spent one year incarcerated and 18 months in court fighting his charges. Eventually, he won his case. Soon afterward, he found himself testifying before a California Senate Sub-Committee on behalf of returning veterans and cannabis. Philip Northcutt has fought for decades to help make cannabis both acceptable and available to people in need. CBD has changed his own quality of life, and he is sharing that message with the world, touring the country to speak about the Hemp and CBD industry.
