Research Notes

Alice's father appears to be referenced under two names: John Samuel Frost (<1500 - 1591) or John Northover. No source has been found for the latter.

There is a link with the Arnold family via Alice (Gulley) Arnold[3]

From Ancestors of Frank Herbert Davol and his wife Phebe Downing Willits; showing Mayflower descent page 24:

NICHOLAS ARNOLD was a tailor, born about 1550 and appears on the register of Northover, Co. Somerset, Eng. in 1571/2. Just had an idea. You might try FreCen.com for looking up information. I have loads of family in Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall and have been able to get information and copy-able citations pretty easily there.
No such webpage FreCen.com Sure you spelled it right?

Why is Alice shown to be Born in Tolpuddle, Dorset when her parents lived in Ilchester, Somerset? If they moved house to Dorset before she was born it should probably be noted and citationed.
Is there a viewable source for the birth of Alice Northover? More important, is there any source to connect that Alice with the one that married John Gulley? Wikitree requires supporting sources, so I have marked the attached parents uncertain until sources can be located. If sources cannot be found, they will need to be detached.

Alice Northover is actually Alice Frost; her father was John Samuel Frost de Northover, which is where the confusion lies. I created a new set of parents for her, since the existing ones require pre-1500 permissions to edit, which I do not have. Sources for Alice are now added to her profile.

I'm sorry, Larry, but I'm afraid I'm more confused now. I see sources that their daughter, Alice, married Nicholas Arnold, and that her parents were John Gulley and Alice, maiden name unknown. I am not seeing what source we have to connect the elder Alice to any parents or give her any maiden name.

Northover-1 and UNKNOWN-24525 appear to represent the same person because: birth and death information on both profiles match and both are connected to the same spouse. The LNAB of Alice is unknown. There is no evidence to support the surname of Northover and is highly unlikely as it refers instead, to a parish location.

Since her parents are unknown and birthplace is uncertain, I suspect that the 1 Jan 1510 birthdate should probably read "about 1510".
