Marjorie Northrop was born on 24 Dec. 1912^[1] at Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, USA.^[2] She appeared on the census of 8 Jan. 1920 in the household of her parents, Charles Weeks Northrop and Mabel (Orcutt) Northrop, at N. Ellsworth St., Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.^[3] She appeared on the census of 2 April 1930 in the household of her parents at 384 Loder St., South Waverly, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. ^[4]

She married George Lawes, son of George Lawes and Jennie (Greene) Lawes, on 24 April 1939 at Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. ^[2]

She was an investigator for the state in when she a George appeared on the census of 8 April 1940 in the household of her mother at 384 Loder St., South Waverly, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. It is not clear at all why she and George are not listed as married in the census.^[5]

She lived in 1986 at Troy, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.^[1]

Marjorie died in Oct. 1987 at age 74, probably in Bradford County, Pennsylvania.^[1]
