Research Notes
Gamaliel Northrup was born before the 10th of May 1696, the date he was baptized. [1][2] He was the fourth of the eleven children born to Daniel Northrup and Sarah (Haughton) Northrup.
Gamaliel's first wife was Mary Dauchy. [3] They were married 2 January 1723 in Milford, Connecticut, when he was twenty-six years of age. Their first child, Elizabeth Northrup (1723-1725), was born just before the marriage. It is probable that he married his second wife, Sarah ___, about 1741. [4]
Military
Gamaliel was over 80 years old at the start of the Revolution, his son Gamaliel Northrop (1742 - 1776) was a Captain.
Note: His son Gamaliel also served in the American Revolution dying seven years before his father due to Smallpox.

This source says that he did not have a second wife, contrary to what it says in Northrup.
