Biography
Sarah was born in 1757. She was the daughter of Christopher Norton and Anne Unknown. She passed away before 1830.
Sarah Norton was married to William Farney. William Farney died in November of 1781. The executor of his estate was John Norton (brother) who signed the bond for 30,000 pounds Virginia with and "x". November 26, 1781. Rockingham VA, court record. John Norton is also named guardian of William and Sarah Farney's child John. Sarah Norton married Adam Baker in Bourbon KY 1792 Mar 5. James Norton signs the marriage bonds stating that she is a widow and that she is his sister. Bourbon marriage record.
