Lieutenant Colonel Ebenezer Norton served with 17th Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Ebenezer Norton, of Goshen Conn.; married Elizabeth Baldwin in 1740; born in Durham, Conn., on Dec 30, 1715, son of Samuel Norton, of Guilford, Conn, and settled in Goshen in 1739.[1]

Ebenezer Norton, was a very prominent man, in Goshen; holding various positions, such as Ensign, Captain, Colonel, Moderator of town meetings, Deacon of the church, and was sent to the Legislature. 26 times.[1]

He died March 15, 1785; and his widow, died April 16, 1811.[1]
