Francis Norwood was born on 7 Apr 1721, in Gloucester, Essex County, Province of Massachusetts Bay. The was the son of Joshua Norwood and Elizabeth Andrews.[1]
Francis's second wife was a widow, Anna (Baker) Lee. They were married on 27 May 1762, at the Fifth Parish Church in Gloucester (in the area also known as Sandy Bay and, after 1840, as Rockport).[2] They registered the births of four daughters in Gloucester:
