Audrey Edna Beatch, beloved wife of the late Ronald Beatch, passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the age of 84 years. She was born and raised in Medicine Hat, growing up in the Ogilvie house in the flats.
Audrey had an early career as a Radar / Fighter Control Operator in the RCAF. Her humorous nature always kept everyone entertained. Audrey constantly worried about her children and their well being and she displayed that same motherly instinct with many of the neighborhood children. She enjoyed life and it’s many activities including camping, fishing, crafts, Bingo, walking everywhere, the bagpipes and especially her grandchildren. Ron and Audrey enjoyed many winters in Arizona and the friendships they made there throughout the years. Their membership in the Moose and the Royal Canadian Legion were particularily important to them as well. Audrey’s memory will be forever treasured in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Russell and Helen Nott; sisters, Catherine, Helen, Nora, Jeanette and Midge as well as brothers, Donald, Murray, Bruce and Bob. Special acknowledgement to Rae Rae for always being there.
