Richard Stanley Nowakowski was born in Milwaukee in 1950. Two of his grandparents and all of his great grandparents came to the US from Poland before 1910. Richard attended Pulaski High School in Milwaukee, the University of Wisconsin, and Harvard University. He is now a professional scientist. During a recent illness he began to document his own family tree and heritage and that led to a fascination with the wave of immigration from Poland (as defined by present day maps) to the US that occurred during 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. He hopes to pursue both interests on WikiTree and also to help others if he can.
