Two Moses Noyes were confabulated by Cutter. Moses born about 1759 son of Josiah (based on age 72 at death in 1831) resided in Falmouth, Maine, was a Sergeant in the Revolution, and married Nabby Locke in 1782. Moses born in 1746 son of Nehemiah is likely the Moses who married Abigail Cobb Thomes as a first wife and married Mercy Moxey as a second wife. Moses born in 1759 has a pension record with widow Nabby Locke Noyes receiving a pension.

Moses Noyes was born about 1759. He is the son of Josiah Noyes and Mary Lunt.

Moses married on 11 October 1782, Abigail Locke (as given in his pension record W24357).

Moses died in 1831 at age 72.[1]

Pension lists death 20 Dec 1831. [2]

According to the pension record, Moses Noyes and Abigail Locke had four children who were

  1. Eunice 1783-1842
  2. Abigail 1785
  3. Nathaniel Lock Noyes 1787
  4. James L. Noyes 1794

Of these four children, the only surviving child in 1846 was James L. Noyes.
