Biography
Michael wrote his will on 26 December 1816. The will names wife Ann Maria, slaves Rachel and France (male), and these heirs with no specified relationship:[1]
John Null son of Windle (probably nephew)
Jacob Harner
Abraham Lynn (possibly Abraham Lind, grandson of brother Valentine)
Michael Geace
Joel Wood (probably the Joel Wood who married Mary Null daughter of John)
Abraham Null son of Valentine (probably nephew)
Michael Null son of Windle (probably nephew)
Jacob Null son of Valentine (probably nephew)
In 1819, Abraham Null, John Null, and Michael Sponseller and his wife Elizabeth brought suit in the Orphan's Court against Michael Null and Jacob Null to prevent the admission of the late Michael's will into probate. The court ruled against them.
Slaves
Michael's will named two slaves:
Rachel, a Negro woman, to be freed a year after Michael's death and to be paid ten pounds a year for five years
France, a Negro man, who Michael willed not to be sold but to be supported from Michael's estate
