He was the son of Aaron Nurse and Sarah Holt. He married Harriet Matilda Kimball on August 26, 1840 in Salem, Masachusetts
Aaron Nurse is a direct descendant of Rebecca (Towne) Nurse aka Nourse, who was put to death during the Salem Witch Trials in 1692
