It is speculated by some researchers that Charles father is most likely John Nuthall (unknown mother) and, most likely the only child of Brent Nutwell and Mary Plowden. No documentation has been found to date that confirms or denies this speculation.

Charles went by both names, Nuthall and Nutwell, and I didn't look for the Nuthall profile before I created one with his first wife Anne McClelland and their children, so sorry. I would like to merge these two profiles as they are the same person.
