Biography

Josiah Parker was the firstborn son of Josiah and Wealthy (Delaplaine) Nutter. He was born 22 Dec 1842 in Alton, Madison, IL. Josiah married Virginia Caroline "Callie" Crow(e), daughter of John Crow(e) and Elizabeth Jenney, on 19 Dec 1867 in Decatur, Macon, IL. He served as a private during the Civil war, from October of 1862 until November of 1863. He died 30 Sep 1933 in Talmo, Grant Twp, Rep., KS and was buried 1 Oct 1933 in Grant Twp, Republic, KS, Union Cemetery.
