Biography
Ellen was born in 1867. Her parents were Michael O' Dowd and Mary McGrath.
Ellen O'Dowd married William McManus in Auckland in 1895. She was 28 years old. They had a daughter, Nora, in 1899.
In 1904 Ellen was widowed when William died at the age of 36.
Ellen remarried in 1912 to Thomas Ignatius Frost.
She passed away in 1961. Her death record gives her age as 94, however with a birth date in 1867 it would make her 93.
