Born on the family farm on the banks of the River Blackwater, I was the sixth of nine children. Since emigrating to the US in 1963, I have always been active in Irish social circles, but now am enjoying the peace and quiet in my retirement. House Dances and Patterns were very popular in our area of Ireland in the 50s and 60s and all of us young folks would participate. You could say that our family has always had a great love for all things Irish--music, song, dance, and recitation.

How are you? I'm Shirley, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.
How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.
If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.
And I'm here to help too, just ask!
