Biography

Mattie's parents were William ,1814-1893 and Ellen Snell O'Bannon, 1814 - 1917. [1]
On 20 October, 1875, Mattie married John H. James in Licking Co., Ohio. [2]

Martha Ellen O'Bannon was born on 25 March 1854[3][4][5][6][7][8][9] in Madison Township, Licking County, Ohio, United States[4][5][6][7][8][9]. She was the daughter of William O'Bannon[3][4][9] and Ellen S Snell[3][4][6][9].

Martha married John H James[3][10][11][12][5] on 20 October 1875[10][10][12] in Licking County, Ohio, United States[10][10][12].

Martha and John did not have any children[3]. However, they did adopt a child: [Unknown-|Estelle Maude Unknown][3][5][6][13]. . Martha's husband passed away a few years after they were married[3].

Martha married Edward Andrew Hirst[3][6][7][14][9] about 1897[6][7].

Martha Ellen (O'Bannon) Hirst passed away on 17 November 1947[9] in Newark, Licking County, Ohio, United States[9]. Her nephew Eugene Montgomery was the informant on her death certificate[9].
