Biography

James O'Brien was born in Brooklyn, New York in May 1855 to Irish immigrants, William O'Brien and Cathryne Lynch. He married Mary Hayes 01 Nov, 1886.[1] [2] He passed away in 1925.[3]

James O'Brien and Mary Hayes had the following children:

i. WILLIAM O'BRIEN. Born 28 Mar 1887 [4] He died on 22 Oct 1918 after getting pneumonia in WWI. Died and was buried 5 miles from the center of Paris. PFC , Pioneer Infantry buried in Suresnes American Cemetery, boulevard Washington, Sursenes, Seine, France - five miles from the center of Paris. Grace 4, Block A, Row 6

ii. THOMAS J. O'BRIEN. b. 20 Sep 1891 He died on 24 Mar 1913 He was a book keeper. Burried at Mt. Olivet [5]

iii. KATHERINE O'BRIEN. She died on 19 Apr 1915 in Mt. Olivet, Chicago. Possibly Catherine - one is listed in Section 49 Lot 329 death listed as 25 Jun 1915...?

iv. MARY MAGDELYN O'BRIEN was born on 04 Jul 1888. She died on 08 Sep 1973

v. ANNA M. O'BRIEN was born on 28 Feb 1896. She died on 25 Jun 1985 in Chicago. She married JOHN JOSEPH MORTON. He died on 23 Jan 1946.
