Biography

Clara Florence May was born in 1892. She was the daughter of Mary and William Robert O'Brien^[1] She married Percy Frederick Lewis Hooker in 1909 ^[2] but they divorced arund 1923

When Clara Florence May Hooker (Mr.. Prendergast) petitioned for divorce from Percy Frederick Louis Hooker (Mr. Singer), it was found that the marriage certificate could not be produced. Petitioner alleged that respondent had been paying attention to a married woman, and Mr. Singer said he was authorised by respondent to admit that he had been living with the woman in question. To His Honor, petitioner said her husband deserted her in 1918, and that desertion continued. His Honor said a decree nisi, would be granted on production of the marriage certificate.^[3] She married 2nd William Victor Podger in 1929 ^[4] She passed away in 1964 age 72 . ^[5]
