DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Gavin or other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA.
Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
Gavin O'Brien:
Family Tree DNA Y-DNA Test 700 markers, haplogroup R-FT116884, FTDNA kit #904650, MitoYDNA ID T11063[compare]
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Gavin O'Brien:
Family Tree DNA mtDNA Test Full Sequence, haplogroup H7, FTDNA kit #904650, MitoYDNA ID T10903[compare]
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Gavin:
This is Chris from the Italy Project. As part of the annual project check-in, can you fill in the project survey? This will let us know that you are still interested in the project and which teams you'd like to participate in.
It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:
If you are happy with the team you’re on or if you’d like to make a change. It is now required that all members with an Ireland project badge work on at least one of the project’s team(s), so if you’ve not yet signed up please do so in your reply to this check-in.
What you think the project is doing well, and what (if any) changes you would like to see us make? Are there any teams you would like to become more active in?
Would you be interested in helping to work on an Ireland Project newsletter?
Please give us some feedback on the use of google group and discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way for us to ensure you receive project communications? If you would like to join us on either one, just let us know in your response and we will get you signed up.
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the Ireland Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back. Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Ciao! This is just a general check-in for members of the Italy project. I am checking to see who is still interested in being a member of the project as we go through some much needed restructuring. I was also wondering what teams you would like to be on. We’ve created teams for each part of Italy. North, South, Islands etc. They will be explained further in an upcoming g2g post. Stay tuned. For now, please let me know if you are still interested in the project and if you’d like to be a member of a team.
Hi Gavin: Okay, thanks, that's why she is private and unlisted. That line is too new for me to follow. If I get stuck on some older ancestors, I may give you a shout, thanks. Busy with Quebec & Manitoba Labossieres for the next while.
Just noticed the LaBossiere-225 profile. Is this a relative of Donald Labossiere?
Do you need any further help with this line?
Great start on your work on WikiTree.
Best wishes, Jim LaBossiere

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified.
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many decendants, coordination is essential. Thanks for joining the IRELAND and ITALY Project.
