Why does this page have a middle name (Catherine) for this person? This middle name does not appear in any of the linked references.

O'Connell-1678 and O'Connell-1953 appear to represent the same person because: Daughter matches and previously had same spouse.

If Catherine was married in Stoke Damerel, Devon, I would look harder there. Why was she there when she married? Also what records did you find that cited "county Kerry" as her birthplace? Did her siblings immigrate to AU too?

Maggie just found their marriage record. They had an eight months son Charles born in Tralee. They were married in Devon England in Church of England, ref Familysearch International. Devon Parish Registers 1538-1912. Familysearch.org/ark:61903/1/1:KC9W-12 So we have an unmarried mother married in Church of England enough to get her written out of family records. Patrick was a soldier at Heavitree Barracks.
