Biography
Daniel O'Connell was born 21 May 1867, and baptized 21 May 1867 (based on other date information) in Caherciveen, child of Michael [O'Connell] and Mary Creagh of Cahir.[1]
Daniel son of Michael Connell, shoemaker, of Cahirciveen, and Mary Connell formerly Creagh, was born 22 May 1867 at Caherciveen. The birth was registered by Mary Connell, mother, of Caherciveen, on 04 Jun 1867.[2]
On 03 Mar 1889 at Caherciveen in the Registrar's District of Caher and Union of Caherciveen in the County of Kerry, the marriage took place of Daniel M O’Connell, 23, a bachelor and butcher of Caherciveen, son of Michael Connell, shoemaker, and Catherine Foley, 24, a spinster and farmers daughter of Caherciveen, daughter of Michael Foley, farmer, witnessed by Timothy Murphy, Ellie Foley.[3]
On 03 Jul 1898 at Caherciveen in the Registrar's District of Caher and Union of Caherciveen in the County of Kerry, the marriage took place of Daniel O’Connell, full age, a bachelor and butcher of Caherciveen, son of Michael O’Connell, shoemaker, and Mary Keating, full age, a spinster and servant of Caherciveen, daughter of Michael Keating, farmer, witnessed by Michael Griffin, Katie Finnegan.[4][5][6]
Daniel M O'Connell appeared in the 1901 census of Ireland at House 34 in Newmarket Street, Caher, Kerry, age 32, born Co Kerry, occupation victualler, as head of family.[7]
Daniel M O'Connell appeared in the 1911 census of Ireland at House 26 in New Market Street, Caher, Kerry, age 44, born Co Kerry, occupation victualler, as head of family. Married 14 years, having had 8 children with 6 still living.[8]
Daniel M O’Connell died 20 Oct 1946 at Caherciveen, age 79, married, occupation: victualler. The death was registered by Margaret J Griffin, daughter of deceased, present at death, of Caherciveen, on 04 Nov 1946.[9]
