Carroll O'Connor was an American actor, director, producer
He was born John Carroll O'Connor in 1924 in New York, the son of Edward J O'Connor and his wife Elise.[1][2] THe family lived in Queen's New York, where Edward had his own law practice and Elise was a teacher.
