This could be a different Mary OConnor. The info we got regarding Mary is from census. I will have to check which ones. However, her husband John' s parents were Patrick and Ann Obrien. John did have a sister named Mary but she married a Harp. Patrick and Ann were my 3 ggrandparents. Mary was my 2 ggrandmother. Could something have gotten confused and she was the daughter in law of Patrick and Ann? On ancestry we have several dna matches showing this family also.
The Mary O'Connor who died at the age of 73 years in Newport, Rhode Island on 24 November 1905 was married at the time of her death and was born in Ireland to Patrick and Ann O'Brien. She is buried in Saint Columbia Cemetery in Newport County. Per Rhode Island Death Registrations report for 1905. Perhaps this profile has been confused with the person represented by the death register?
