Biography

Patrick was born 19 May 1865 in Oil Springs, Ontario/Canada West, according to his death certificate with brother, Michael O'Connor, the informant. He was the son of John OConnor and Annie Walsh. He passed away on 29 October 1932 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada where he had been living for only three years. His occupation was given as "Retired Carpenter". ^[1]

In the 1871 Census of Canada in Enniskillen township of Lambton County, Ontario, Patrick was listed at age 5 with his parents, John and Mary W. Connor. His birth place in the original document was given as Ontario (indexed incorrectly on some sites). ^[2] This age of 5 reinforces the death certificate birth year of 1865.

In the 1881 Census of Canada, Patrick O'Connor, age 14, was listed in Enniskillen township of Lambton County, Ontario with his widowed mother Annie and his brothers. Edward was listed as head of household. ^[3]
