James, son of Thomas O'Connor and Elizabeth, was born about 1866 in Ireland.
Kate Frances Freeman, age 20, and James Joseph O'Connor, age 29, Railway Overseer, were married by licence at the Sacred Heart Church in Newtown, Hobart, on the 23 June 1896. Their witnesses were M. J. Casey, Moonah, and Sarah Banks, Barrack Street, Hobart. [1], [2]
O'CONNOR—FREEMAN.—On June 23, at the Sacred Heart Church, New Town, by the Rev. P. O'Reilly. James Joseph O'Connor, late of Lake View, Drumcong, Ireland, to Katie Frances, youngest daughter of Thomas Freeman, "Clare Cottage," Moonah. [3]
He passed away in 1957 and was interred in the Ulverstone General Cemetery, Ulverstone. [4].
