Biography
Ellen was born about 1845 in County Donegal. Ireland.
She emigrated from Magheroarty, Cloughaneely, Co. Donegal, Ireland with her parents Anthony & Anna/Honora and 6 siblings to Australia through the Donegal Relief Fund on the ship "Caribou", departing Liverpool 7 July 1859, arriving Sydney 4 Oct 1859.
She married Patrick Donnelly on 5 Apr 1864 at age 19, at St. Joseph's Church, East Maitland, NSW (her brother Daniel was a witness). She had 11 children with him:
John Francis, Patrick, Mary Hannah, Anthony Joseph, James Thomas, Joseph, Ann, Timoth y, Francis, Unnamed, Thomas Edward.
Residences: ~ at time of marriage: Rayworth, Four Mile Creek near Maitland, NSW ~ at time of death: Manilla, NSW
She passed away on 17 May 1887 aged 42 due to a liver complaint (3 weeks) and was buried in Attunga Public Cemetery, Tamworth, NSW.
