Kate Chopin O'Flaherty is Notable.

Author of two different collections of short stories as well as the novel, _The Awakening._ Kate suffered a brain hemorrhage while visiting the St. Louis World's Fair. She is buried in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
