OBITUARY.

Mr. Thomas O'Grady

Mr. Thomas O'Grady, for over 30 years a highly respected resident of this district, passed away this morning at the hospital. Deceased was a native of Maitland, and was 64 years of age. He was married to Miss B. Connolly (sister of Mr. T.Connolly), who survives him. There are two brothers, Messrs. J. and P. O'Grady (Inverell), and a sister, Mrs. Purcell (Newcastle); four sons, Messrs. John (Muttaburra), Thomas J., Reginald, and Virgil, and three daughters, Mrs. L. McLennan, Madge, and Norah, of Dalby, to whom the sympathy of a large section of the residents is freely extended. The funeral was fixed for this afternoon. ^[4]

OBITUARY.

MR. THOMAS O'GRADY, DALBY.

DALBY. Friday.—The death of Mr. Thomas O'Grady, of Dalby, took place at the Dalby Hospital at an early hour this morning, after a comparatively brief illness. The deceased, who was 63 years of age was a native of Maitland, New South Wales, but come to the Dalby district over 30 years ago, where he has resided ever since. The late Mr. O'Grady was of a quiet and retiring disposition, but had a very wide circle of friends. About 29 years ago he was married to Miss B. Connolly (sister of Mr. Thomas Connolly, of this town), who still survives him. He is also survived by four sons —Messrs John (of the Police Department at Muttaburra), T. J., R., and V. O'Grady, of Dalby, and three daughters, Mrs. L. McLennan, Misses Madge and Nora O'Grady, all of Dalby. Two brothers and a sister live in New South Wales. The genuine sympathy of a very large number of persons in the town and district is extended to the relatives in their bereavement. The funeral moved from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, where a short service was held this afternoon, to the Dalby cemetery. Rev. Father Flynn officiated at the graveside. ^[5]
