CONT CONT Newspaper clipping -- no date -- Reads: CONT CONT Found dead in bed -- Mrs. Hanora O'Halloran is stricken fatally by heart disease, Thursday morning -- Was Eighty Years of Age -- Mother of Michael O'Halloran, with whom she resided, on Maple Street. CONT Mrs. Hanora O'Halloran, aged about 80 years, was found dead in her bed at the home of her son, Michael O'Halloran on West Maple Street about noon on Thursday. CONT Death is thought to have been caused by heart trouble, to which she was subject. CONT Mrs. O'Halloran was sleeping at breakfast time and was not disturbed, as she sometimes remained in bed part of the morning. She was not dead at this time as she was heard later -- about 10 o'clock -- moving or turning in bed, and it was not until her little granddaughter took the old lady her dinner that her condition was discovered. CONT Dr. W.T. Ziegler was immediately summoned. He found life extinct. There was still some warmth left in the body, however, indicating that death had been quite recent. CONT Michael O'Halloran, with whom the dead woman made her home, is her only living child. A daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kate O'Halloran resides on West Vine Street. CONT Coroner Cluts has been notified, and whether or not an inquest will be held will descend upon his judgement in the matter. CONT CONT *** Two small clusters of wild red roses were pressed with this notice. CONT CONT CONT CONT CONT CONT CONT CONT CONT CONT Note from Nanette Meals - transcriber of Bible - dated 28 October 2001 CONT CONT Dear Nancy, CONT CONT We just got home from vacation and I found your letter - forwarded to me by the Peoria Genealogical Soc. I do remember copying the information in the Bible but I'm not sure of the conversation that I had with Kay Chavez - it was a sale but I don't remember whether it was "estate" or "moving." The Bible must have been for sale (I can't imagine!) and was probably a great deal more than I wanted to spend and asked if I could copy the contents. I do this often. The Chavez family is no longer listed in the phone book and were not listed in the 1998 City directory. CONT CONT You might try checking the internet to see if you can locate the family or put an ad in the Genealogical Helper or even the Peoria Genealogical Soc. newsletter or quarterly asking for help. CONT CONT I do hope you got some information that was new to you - you're the first person that I've heard from - can't bear to see Bibles and other family items put up for sale! CONT CONT Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. CONT CONT Sincerely, Nanette Meals TMPLT TID 0 FIELD Name: Footnote VALUE "Bible Entries -- O'Halloran, from "Prairie Roots," publication of the Peoria, Illinois Genealogical Society, Vol. 8, No. 3 (Spring, 1981) FIELD Name: ShortFootnote VALUE "Bible Entries -- O'Halloran, from "Prairie Roots," publication of the Peoria, Illinois Genealogical Society, Vol. 8, No. 3 FIELD Name: Bibliography VALUE "Bible Entries -- O'Halloran, from "Prairie Roots," publication of the Peoria, Illinois Genealogical Society, Vol. 8, No. 3.
