On Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock a pretty wedding was celebrated at SS. Peter and Paul's Cathedral, when Miss Norah O'Keefe, daughter of Mr. J. L. O'Keefe, Addison-street, Goulburn, was married to Mr. Gregory John Keefe, youngest son of Mr. Thomas Keefe, Sydney. The Rev. Father Cleary officiated at the ceremony. The bride wore a dress of ivory white silk with Brussels lace. She also wore a wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet. The bride groom's gift to the bride was a diamond ring. Mrs. Donnellan, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. Her dress was Swiss muslin with over lace. In keeping with the dress she wore a white hat and long plume. The bridesmaid carried a shower bouquet of cosmos, and wore a cable bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. Two tiny tots, Annie Donnellan, niece of the bride, and Adelaide Cameron, were the maids, and were dressed in Swiss muslin with valenciennes lace. They carried bouquets of pink cosmos and long streamers. Mr. S. Donnellan, of Sydney, was best man. After the ceremony Mrs. Keefe received her guests at the wedding breakfast, which was held in the newly-married couple's home in Goulburn.[3]
John Gregory Keeffe, son of Margaret and Thomas, was born at Elrington, Majors Creek in 1878. Elrington was the home of the Clarke Brothers, the infamous bushrangers in the 1860s. In 1908 John married Norah O'Keeffe at Goulburn. Norah was born in 1877 at Gurrundah, NSW, about 10 miles (16 kilometres) north of Mutbilly (see Hannan family above). Norah was the daughter of Jeremiah O'Keefe and Catherine Holland, married at Goulburn in 1870. From Greville's Directory Jeremiah O'Keefe was a farmer at Gurrundah in 1872. John's and Norah's only child, Dot, was born at Goulburn in 1909. John died in 1910 and is buried at Goulburn. Norah died in 1955 and is also buried at Goulburn. John's and Norah's daughter, Dot, is also buried at Goulburn. [6]
