Biography

Jeremiah was born on October 4, 1727, in Yarmouth, Massachusetts. He was the son of Seth O'Killey and Mehitable Wing.[1]

He married Rebecca Sampson on July 3, 1753, in Plympton, Massachusetts.[2][3] Their children were:[4]

  1. George, b. 23 Dec 1754
  2. Luke, b. 24 Oct 1757; d. 14 Dec 1823
  3. Abigail, b. 26 Oct 1759
  4. Amos, b. 16 Mar 1766 in Bellingham;[5] d. 15 Mar 1848
  5. Sylvia, b. 22 Apr 1768 in Bellingham[5]
  6. Wing, b. 3 Jul 1772 in Wareham;[6] d. 14 Dec 1823

He died on October 6, 1793.[4]

Research Notes

Randall gives Jeremiah's wife's maiden name as Braley, and gives her date of birth as October 27, 1735.

The entirety of the FamilySearch collection "Births, marriages, deaths 1657-1823" for Yarmouth, Massachusetts has been manually searched; there is no mention of the family of Jeremiah. His name also does not appear in the index for the Yarmouth FamilySearch collection "Births, deaths 1678-1860".
