Thomas Cranston O'NEILL was born in 1849 in Toodyay, Western Australia.[1] His parents were Thomas O'Neill and Catherine Wilton
He married Elizabeth DUPLEX on 7 January 1883 in Albany, Western Australia.[2] They had six children in twelve years.
Thomas was a farmer at Toodyay, at first in partnership with his brother John. He went to Esperance droving for the Dempsters in 1880 and was foreman there in 1884. He moved to Mt. Barker to settle.[3]
He died on 27 July 1908 in Mount Barker, Western Australia, at the age of 59, and was buried there [4].
Thomas was accidentally fatally injured by a train a short distance from the Mt. Barker Railway Station. He was employed as a Ganger on the railway line at the time.[5]
