Biography

Bernard O'Neill was born in ~1867 in Armagh, Ireland. His parents were Owen O'Neill (1831 - >1879) and Mary (Unknown) O'Neill (1831 - 1918).

Bernard married Ellen Kerin (1877 - 1951) in 1905 in Cowra, NSW.

Bernard died on August 15, 1954 in Cowra Hospital, NSW Australia aged ~87. He is buried in Lyndhurst Cemetery, Lyndhurst, New South Wales.

MR. B. O'NEILL

A very old resident of the Garland district in the person of Mr. Bernard ONeill, died shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, in the Cowra Hospital. The funeral took place on Monday from the Lyndhurst Roman Catholic Church to the Lyndhurst Cemetery. A daughter Mary (Mrs. William Egan) and grand-daughters Monica and Mary, live at Garland; Monica is a nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. The funeral was very largely attended. The deceased was eighty- seven years of age.
