In 1897 Mary Ann married William Henry Martin.[2] In addition to their own eight children, Mary Ann and William took in her sister Catherine's daughter after Catherine's death.
Mary Ann and the children were abandoned by William around 1915. She died on 24 Aug 1941, and was buried in the Martin Family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.[3]
