Biography

Florence Elizabeth O'Neill was born on the 30th of November 1881 at 20 Gleave Street, Everton, Lancashire, England, the daughter of James O'Neill, Bookkeeper and Mary Henrietta Blane Gardner ^[1][2]

Family legend has it that her father said " Name her after the one before on the register" and sure enough, there is a Florence Elizabeth (Cutts) on the same page. ^{[3] [4]}

In the 1891 England census she is 9 years old, living with her widowed mother Mary Henrietta Blane (Gardner) O'Neill at 19 Stafford Street, Bedminster, Bristol. Also living there are her brothers Wilfrid, 5, and Frederick, 2, and her sister Mary Nellie O'Neill, 12.^[5]

In 1904 Flo married "Tom" Evans in Bristol.^[6]

The wedding took place at St Marks Church, Easton, Bristol; Flo, 22, a spinster, was living at Colston House, Stanley Park, Bristol, and her father was recorded as James O'Neill (deceased), Gentleman.

In the 1911 England Census Flo is living in Easton, Bristol with her husband Tom and her daughters Ruby,5, and May, 2.^[7]

She passed away in 1963 at Bailbrook House, Bath, Somerset, England.^[8]
